Virginie Bonnaillie-Noël is a former student at the École Normale Supérieure in Cachan and obtained an agrégation (advanced teaching) diploma in mathematics in 2000 before her doctorate in mathematics in 2003 from the University of Paris-Sud 11. She joined the CNRS in 2004 as a researcher at the Mathematics Institute of Rennes
Missions
The direction develops and applies the policy implemented by all CNRS Institutes and regional offices for assisting higher education institutions in their new responsibilities within the French research system. It coordinates the various operations through which the CNRS, drawing on its nationwide scope, works hand-in-hand with local authorities to develop and promote large scientific clusters. It centralizes data on research units and devises scientific indicators that will help develop resources to support scientific policies.
